Social Media Madness – DFW Companies Strive To Impact Local Charities!!

Three Dallas-Fort Worth based companies, CornerStone Staffing, Mary Kay and Staff One, are striving to bring home $30,000 in donations for local charities!!

CornerStone Staffing, Mary Kay  and Staff One are representing Dallas-Fort Worth in a contest called Social Madness where each company  could win a $10,000 donation for the charity of their choice.

Social Madness which is sponsored by the Dallas Business Journal and their parent company, American City Business Journal, is a one-of-a-kind competition that measures a company’s social media engagement on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.  Company scores are calculated based on votes received online and from a scoring algorithm that measured social engagement.

Sixty-five Dallas-Fort Worth companies were competing in three size categories based on each company’s collective social following during the month of June.  A DFW winner in each of the three categories (small, medium and large) was named on July 9th.  The three winning companies, Mary Kay for the large category, CornerStone Staffing for the medium category and Staff One for the small category, began competing against 44 other cities in the national Social Madness competition on Tuesday, July 16th.

After the first day of competition, all three companies are in the Top 20 which is where they have to stay until July 22nd in order to make it through to Round 2.  Debra Hill, Senior Operations Manger at CornerStone Staffing said, “I would love to see Dallas “sweep” the contest and bring all the donation money home to Texas?”
