CornerStone Staffing is committed to serving the neighborhood and greater community in the spirit of J.O.Y. We contribute regularly to several worthwhile organizations in the areas in which we serve. We have created a non-profit organization called "Helping Hands of CornerStone" to serve our community and those in need.
CornerStone Staffing is a corporate sponsor at this year's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. CornerStone will have a sponsor booth at the Dallas race on October 15th at Northpark Center in Dallas. Each CornerStone employee is fundraising as an individual and as a team to support this benevolent cause.
In May, CornerStone received an appreciation letter from the Executive Director of the Dallas County Affiliate chapter of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. This letter was written because of CornerStone's in-kind sponsorship of two temporary employees to staff the Susan G. Komen-Dallas offices in preparation for the 2011 race.

CornerStone Staffing participates in this annual fundraiser to support cancer research by donating. In recent years, we have held garage sales, sponsored dress-down days, and held other fundraisers in support of this important event.

Partnering with Bright Hope, a Chicago-based charity, the CornerStone Staffing team worked together to prepare med packs for victims of the tragic earthquake in Haiti. Thirty packs were prepared by CornerStone and sent to help those in need.

CornerStone Staffing team members regularly participate in charity days across their communities to devote time to help those in need in the spirit of J.O.Y. Recently, two CornerStone employees volunteered with the crew from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to help build a new home for a deserving family.

CornerStone Staffing employees contribute each year to a Helping Hands Fund, which is dedicated to helping those in need. Recently, the Helping Hands Fund adopted an angel from the Salvation Army Angel tree. The fund has also been used to help CornerStone Staffing employees who need a little extra help, and has prepared care packages that were donated to WorldRelief.

Almost 16,000 children die from hunger related causes everyday. Yet hunger is not a food problem but a distribution problem. CornerStone Staffing partnered with Feed the Hunger in November 2010, to help get nutritious food to places with children that are desperate for food. Our volunteer group helped put together the very packets of food that our donations made possible. This food was then shipped to at-risk children being helped everyday by Feed the Hunger.

CornerStone Staffing employees participate in a month long holiday canned food drive benefiting the North Texas Food Bank and the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Collection boxes are placed in each CornerStone office and weekly themes are advertised and contests set up between offices to encourage donations. This was a great way to give back to our community!
