By contributing ideas that can help increase the company bottom line, you are making yourself an invaluable member of the team.

3. Ask for – or welcome – opportunities for additional responsibility.

No one expects you to hold the weight of an organization on your back, but if you have the time and resources to accept additional responsibilities, ask for them! Add value to your position, and most importantly to your individual contributions, by offering to take on more. Your eagerness to be a part of the larger team can make a big impact on your organization.

4. Always follow through.

It may sound simple, but if you say you’re going to do something – do it. Show that you are committed to making an impact. No matter how small the task, if you pledge to complete it, make that task a priority. Following through on the smallest tasks demonstrates a strong work ethic and commitment. Qualities every employer loves to see.
